Is your age just a number, or do you feel older than what you are? Do people consider you to be young at heart or do you feel older beyond your years? These may seem like silly questions, but how old you feel can play an important role in your sex life.
Researchers have confirmed that seniors who feel younger than their age are more likely to be satisfied with their sex life and more inclined to have a sex life. The study looked at the attitudes of sex and aging among 1,170 older adults to achieve their findings.
Feeling younger boosts libido and improves sexual satisfaction

The responses from the participants suggested that the closer they felt to their actual age, the less likely they were to engage in sexual activity or to be sexually satisfied.
Associate professor Steven Mock explained, “What was clear from the data is that feeling younger had a huge impact on how people felt about the quality of their sex life and how interested they were in having sex. For people in mid to later life, feeling young at heart actually appears to make a difference in the bedroom.”
Research lead Amy Estill added, “It’s important to consider all of the different psychosocial and biological factors that might influence a person’s sexuality. While feeling younger didn’t have an impact on how much sex people were having, it was quite clear that feeling older does impact the quality of the sex you’re having.”
