The flu virus has a much faster turnaround time than a cold virus, which can help you if you are thinking of heading to the after-hours clinic. After all having a good idea of what you are dealing with could prevent unnecessary visits and time spent sitting waiting alongside the germs of dozens of other people.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) there are some predictions for this winter’s cold and flu season that you should take into account, especially if you are considering a flu shot. They say that there are three types of flu that will be more likely to grace North American’s this season: H3N2, influenza B and H1N1.
